Wheeeee

Planned out my set list for next week's gig. So excited!!

Full band + 2 of my good friends dancing = awesome!

I spent some quality time in Boston with my family and nephews, and came back to the city yesterday.

Dropped off flyers tonight at Bitter End, and caught one of my favorite Olamide songs, as he was performing there tonight, with the awesome Brady Watt on bass.

Took Bikram at Yoga to the People. Had therapy. It was a good day.

I need to go to bed!!

Over & out.

Less than a week till my CD release party

Yes, that's right!!

Click here for more information on my CD release party! I'm excited!

Today I did music for kids, got some pictures printed, went to therapy,

Took DANA FOGLIA at Broadway Dance Center. Oh my god, this girl is a beast and one of my favorite choreographers. She has danced for Beyonce, Rihanna, Janet, to name a few and is an amazing teacher.

Then I went to Bitter End to drop off some flyers & poster for the show next week, and caught Olamide's set. He is awesome, and he will also be playing there next week after my show. Yay!

Artists & Inspiration (John Legend sighting)

What a great day!

I met this afternoon with Devin Bing, an amazing songwriter and singer who I met from Craig's List. He came over and we had a chance to vibe, and do some listening/playing. Very talented guy. I think we can learn alot from each other, and I'm very excited to work more with him! He is primarily a jazz pianist/vocalist, but VERY versatile singer & writer.

Then, tonight I went to Bitter End to check out Erin Christine. It was a big show for her, as she had some label people coming out. She did a great job! She is an amazing singer, very beautiful, and great performer.

Um....there was someone special who came to see the show...... John Legend! What???? I know! Erin and Tiffany Starr (songwriter that Erin works with) had met with John's label, but apparently she didn't know he was coming out! I was so excited for her! I can't believe he was there! Amazing!

I stayed after for a set from an artist I had never heard of, Olamide. I just had a feeling he was gonna be good. HE WAS! Apparently, he's on Sesame Street, and his older brother is Donald Faison, one of the stars of Scrubs. He's an amazing songwriter and singer (plays guitar) and his band was killing it! His bass player is Brady Watt, who I went to school at Berklee with, and the piano player & drummer in the band were great! They said they didn't have a rehearsal, but they sounded tight as hell! Looking forward to more from Olamide!

All in all, a very inspiring day!!!
