The Asshole in my Head

The weekend has come to a close.

I spent time performing with Wobble Dance Company in Winter Follies at Spoke the Hub in Brooklyn.

The piece was great -

I also went and saw the movie The Rite, which I actually did not enjoy. But I do love going to the movies. I had some pretzel bites with cheese. YUM haha.... Too bad January is known for its BAD movies.... sigh....

Tonight I went to a show at The Duplex to check out the space for my upcoming show February 25. The show I went to was called "The Asshole in my Head," which was actually an awesome concept. One woman cabaret, but with an offstage voice that kept interrupting and singing - the voice in her head.

Looking forward to a productive week :-)

SHOW EEEEEEHHHHHH AAAAAAHHHH

It's the day of the show ya'll

Rehearsal in the morning with Nick Boddington to go over background vocals.

Picking up my suit at work. (I hope it's there)

Session with the drummer Josh Giunta,

and then FULL BAND rehearsal in Brooklyn

Evgeny Lebedev - keys
Jordan Scannella - bass
Carras Paton - sax/flute

and then hitting the Bitter End for some music and good times!

It's been snowing and wintry mixing, but I hope people still come!

I'm nervous because I'm gonna attempt a new cover and 2 new songs aaaahhhhh

Do I even know the words?

As usual, I could flop big or nail it -

Or somewhere in between

Either way I will have fun - I love music and I love performing!!!

Yee-haw!!!!

Snow Leopard!! Boo-yah

I have a new operating system for my computer and have been downloading lots of new software....

Fun...

Last night played at Bell House in BK with The Bloodsugars. I always have a good time with those guys!

Tonight I met with a songwriter named Ron Gerald and did some recording at his place.
Song was called "Constantly."

He lives in Jamaica, Queens. Kind of a trek on the subway, but it was fun.

I love meeting with new people, and I love recording. Every time.
Even if it's a small hot room, and I'm sweating. LOL

Soul Summit

Went to Soul Summit in Ft Greene Park in the afternoon to meet up with Al and a couple of his friends.

DJ was spinning house/tribal music and lots of folks were just dancing....It was awesome....good people watching times....

Awesome summer thing to do....

Here is a video that I'm kind of obsessed with. Been seeing a lot of videos from Berklee students who are who are recording in the practice rooms....Reminds me of long nights writing and singing my heart out in the practice rooms there....I LOVE this video:
