Aaah!
What a rollercoaster day.
I had therapy this afternoon, which is like my happy place. So appreciative for a good therapist.
Had rehearsal tonight at AM studios, which went pretty well. Interesting set-up. Keys, backgrounds, cajon, sax/flute, and guitar.
Went to Craig Derry's vocal class and saw Erin Christine, which is always good. She is working it. We both performed, and I sang Warning Shot which was fun, and Erin sang a new song which was awesome!
BUT, I am having problems with the the "Suitcases" master CD. and I am really hoping we can figure this out SOON, and it needs to be perfect, because there will be 1000 copies printed.
EEGGGGH, cross ya fingers for me!
Join me as I try to create a name for myself in New York City as a recording and performing artist, navigating through part-time jobs, gigs, meetings, self-improvement, dance & vocal training, and more. I guess this is the life of an artist. I signed up for this, right?

SPAM (the canned meat, not junk mail)
Let it be known that I like to eat spam. I just discovered it a few months ago from a friend who knew I like to eat Ramen noodles. I always put an egg in there and sometimes a hot dog or sliced veggies. She said the Korean way to eat noodles is to put a bunch of stuff in there, including sometimes American cheese & Spam. Well now I do the Spam, plus bacon, plus mushrooms, plus egg, and add some Swiss cheese when I put it in the bowl. Delicious!! And chocked full of sodium! AAH!
I went to Craig Derry's vocal class today. We do great group exercises, and then people perform. Craig has been really supportive and I always seem to get a good response from the other kids in the class. Tonight I played and sang "Still."
Craig suggested that I come back more often, since the class is essentially my demographic, and I should try singing the various songs and see what kind of response I get. I like that idea!
